Korban kecelakaan kapal laut di Selat Makassar masih terus bertambah. Dari 17 korban yang dilaporkan sebelumnya, bertambah empat orang lagi sehingga jumlah korban kecelakaan kapal dari biduk-biduk menuju Kabupaten Tolitoli, Sulawesi Tengah tersebut menjadi 21 orang.
Hingga Jumat (27/1) siang, tim search and Rescue belum berhasil menemukan korba. Namun dari 21 korban, satu balita yang belum diidentifikasi Jumat siang ditemukan nelayan di Tanjung Manimbaya Kabupaten Donggala.
Dengan demikian, baru dua korban yang ditemukan tewas, sementara 15 di antaranya hingga kini masih terus dicari.
Sementara kondisi lima korban lainnya yang masih dirawat di Rumah Sakit Umum Mokopido Tolitoli, semakin membaik. Mereka terapung di laut selama empat hari setelah kapal yang mereka tumpangi hari Minggu (22/1) pukul 02.00 Wita dini hari, terbalik akibat badai dan cuaca buruk.
Lama korban yang selamat ini salah satunya adalah nahkoda kapal atas nama empit dan juru mesin ashari. Mereka terdampar di Pulau Pasoso, Kabupaten Donggala, Sulawesi Tengah, kemudian dievakuasi kapal Adi Rahmat menuju Tolitoli.
Tim SAR gabungan TNI Angkatan Laut, kepolisian, tenaga medis, kesatuan penjagaan laut dan pantai (KPLP), masih terus melakukan pencarian dengan mengerahkan empat unit patroli laut dibantu kapal nelayan. Mereka menyusuri laut Sulawesi hingga ke Selat Makassar, namun korban belum juga ditemukan.
Berikut adalah nama-nama korban yang belum ditemukan:

One dead, 15 missing in boat accident

One person has been confirmed dead and 15 others are still missing at sea after a boat with 21 people aboard capsized on its way from East Kalimantan to Tolitoli regency in Central Sulawesi in the early hours of Thursday, a police officer said.
Tolitoli Police chief Adj. Comr. Immanuel Larosa said six passengers were rescued by a fishing boat that happened to be nearby. On the way to Tolitoli, however, one of the six died, he said.
Larosa said the incident was "inevitable" after large waves hit the vessel amid bad weather. As of Thursday night, information was not available as to the exact location of the capsized boat.
The lack of a manifest prevented police from identifying the victims, Larosa said, expressing his belief the 15 missing passengers were very likely dead due to the rough seas.
Despite the pessimism, he said police officers and local residents were continuing the search for the missing passengers.
He said the 21 people aboard the boat were originally from Dongingis village in Tolitoli, but had migrated to Kalimantan where they had lived for years. "They were returning to visit family, but unfortunately they chose the wrong boat," the officer said.

Poso executions to go ahead despite pleas for a stay

The Central Sulawesi Prosecutor's Office and local police will go ahead with the execution of three Christian death row inmates, found guilty of involvement in a series of murders in Poso several years ago, heedless of mounting demands for a stay of execution.
Despite the intensive preparations, however, the prosecutors and police declined to say when the execution of the three would be held.
"Just wait ... when the time comes you will know when they will be executed. For the sake of maintaining security, we are not allowed to give details about the timing (of the execution)," Central Sulawesi Police spokesman Adj. Comr. Rais D. Adam told The Jakarta Post.
The prosecutor's office recently ordered three caskets.
Fabianus Tibo, Dominggus da Silva and Marinus Riwu are now on death row after President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in December refused to grant them clemency, which was their last resort in the legal process.
Meanwhile, a group rights activists and religious leaders, including former president Abdurrahman "Gus Dur" Wahid, have demanded a stay of execution, saying they believed the three were not the masterminds of the violence.
Gus Dur, also a former chairman of the nation's largest Islamic organization, demanded the establishment of an independent fact-finding team to uncover the truth behind the mass killings in Poso, including the masterminds.
Tibo, one of the convicts, said Thursday he was ready to be executed, even though he expressed concern as to why his life had to end in front of a firing squad. "I'm ready to accept the verdict, but why do I have to die this way?" he asked.
Tibo had previously given to the police the names of 16 other key people involved in the killings; all of whom are still living as free men in society.
Dominggus demanded that as soon as he was executed his body be sent to the President as "proof" that he and his two comrades were the victims of manipulation by other people in Poso.
"Me, Om (Uncle) Tibo and Marinus were not the masterminds of the violence. We were just provoked, so our roles were merely as victims. If justice is to be properly upheld, the intellectual actors behind the incidents have to be punished as well," he asserted.
The three transmigrants, originally from East Nusa Tenggara, were given death sentences by the Palu District Court in 2001. They were proven guilty for having been involved in the Muslim-Christian bloodletting between 2000 and 2001 in which more than 1,000 people were killed.
A peace deal was signed in December 2001, following talks facilitated by then welfare minister Jusuf Kalla.

Kapal Tenggelam, 16 Penumpang Tewas

Sebuah kapal motor yang berangkat dari Kalimantan Timur Dongingis, Kabupaten Tolitoli, dilaporkan tenggelam. Akibatnya, 16 orang penumpangnya diduga tewas, sedangkan lima orang lainnya berhasil diselamatkan.
Para penumpang yang diduga tewas tenggelam itu belum dapat diidentifikasi, karena kapal tersebut bukan kapal penumpang umum, tapi kapal nelayan berkapasitas tiga gross ton.
Kapolres Tolitoli, Ajun Komisaris Besar Polisi Immanuel Larosa yang dihubungi The Jakarta Post melalui telepon dari Palu membenarkan tenggelamnya kapal tak bernama itu.
Menurut Kapolres, kapal tersebut berangkat hari Rabu (25/1) pukul 21.00 Wita dari Kalimantan menuju kampung Dongingis, Tolitoli dengan membawa 21 orang penumpang yang juga warga Dongingis.
Kapolres Immanuel Larosa mengatakan, para penumpang yang selamat itu menjelaskan bahwa sekitar pukul 02.00 Wita dinihari kapal mereka dihantam ombak besar sehingga membuat kapal oleng dan akhirnya tenggelam.
Saat tenggelam itu, tiba-tiba ada kapal nelayan lain yang melintas dan menyelematkan enam orang yang terlihat terapung-apung di laut meminta tolong. Akhirnya yang berhasil diselamatkan hanya enam orang, namun dalam perjalanan ke Tolitoli, satu dari enam orang itu meninggal dunia.
Saat ini polisi dan warga setempat sedang berusaha mencari para korban.
Ke-21 orang penumpang itu adalah warga Dongingis, Tolitoli yang sudah bertahun-tahun merantau ke Kalimantan, dan berencana pulang kampung untuk menengok keluarga mereka. Naas bagi mereka, karena dalam perjalanan, kapal yang ditumpangi itu tenggelam.***

Poso Police chief nearly assassinated

Police officers in Poso have identified two gunmen who opened fire on a senior police office Wednesday morning, narrowly missing his head, in the latest violence in conflict-torn Central Sulawesi, a spokesperson said.
Two men on a motorcycle shot at Poso Police chief Adj. Sr. Comr. Rudy Sufahriyadi at 4:30 a.m. as he was on his way to a mosque in the town. They missed their target and initially escaped on the motorcycle.
"It (the bullet) passed only about 30 centimeters away from my head," Rudy told The Jakarta Post by phone. "(But) we have identified the gunmen and are now searching for them."
As yet unidentified gunmen also shot and killed First Brig. Agus Sulaeman in Gebangrejo subdistrict in Poso city three months ago at his boardinghouse.
Wednesday's shooting was the latest violent incident, following a bomb blast that rocked a Christian market on New Year's Eve in the provincial capital Palu, killing seven and injuring dozens more.
